Recipes for Renal Patients
Lemon Crescent is a kidney food recipe for renal patient, patients with kidney disease.
Ingredients
23 ml lemon juice
135 grams butter unsalted
94 grams all purpose flour
90 grams granulated sugar
34 grams confectioner’s sugar
2 pieces eggs
3/4 teaspoon baking powder
Procedure
1. Preheat oven to 350 F
2. Mix thoroughly flour, butter, baking powder and confectioner’s sugar.
3. Press into 8 x 8 x 2 inch square pan, building up a 1/2 inch edge.
4. Bake for 20 minutes.
5. Beat first egg for about 3 minutes or until light and fluffy then add lemon juice and granulated sugar.
6. Pour over the hot crust.
7. Return to oven and bake for another 25 minutes or longer, having no remains when touched lightly in the center.
8. Cool and cut into shapes by using crescent shape cookie cutter.
9. Serve.
